The Medicine was administered to Aamir and Saxena said, “We tried to wake up our kids to meet the bollywood actor but they did not believe us.” Before his departure, Bollywood Aamir Khan left a letter of appreciation for the doctor and a gold ring for treating him. “I feel sorry for disturbing you in the middle of the night. I don’t think Shah Rukh ever was ‘King Khan’ – Aamir Khan Keeping up his swipes at superstar Shah Rukh Khan and the No.1 slot in Bollywood, Aamir Khan, riding on the super success of his revenge drama ‘Ghajini’, has said he never thought Shah Rukh was ever on the top pedestal at all. He also said Oscar-winning ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ failed to “touch” him. Aamir, during CNN’s special edition of ‘Talk Asia’, was asked how he feels about being termed the new ‘King Khan’ after the success of ‘Ghajini’. He replied: “I had absolutely no intention of kicking Shah Rukh off his pedestal. Though I have to say, I don’t think he ever was on it.” Elaborating, Aamir said: “In my opinion, the actor who I really look up to is Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. He is someone whose work I really like, a fantastic actor and the kind of stardom Mr. Bachchan has seen, none of us can ever hope to see.” The 44-year-old actor, whose latest work, the Hindi remake of Tamil film ‘Ghajini‘, was a success at the box office, says he feels satisfied with his films only if they turn out to be as they are intended. “You can never really tell until you see a film with the audience. How it is going to play with the audience. For me, what is important is that when I see the film once it is ready, has it turned out the way we wanted it to? If we have done that, then that makes me feel happy,” he said. Aamir, whose own directorial debut film ‘Taare Zameen Par‘, failed to get nominated in the foreign film category at the 81st Annual Academy Awards this year, says that ‘Slumdog Millionaire‘ failed to “touch” him. “I thought the movie was well intended. It was a very sincere attempt, but it didn’t touch me personally, and I suspect it because I’m not used to watching Indians speak English, all these slum kids talking in English… it’s strange,” said Aamir. Aishwarya Rai upset on Priyanka Chopra Bollywood Gossip : Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a bit upset with fellow actor Priyanka Chopra, when she in her winning speech regarded Ash as beautiful but did not mention anything about her acting talent. Priyanka, who won the Filmfare Best Actress award for Fashion said that she was very happy to be nominated (Fashion, Dostana) among the likes of beautiful Aishwarya Rai (Jodhaa Akbar) and the talented Kajol (U, Me Aur Hum). Reports suggest that Priyanka’s statement did not go well with Ash, who is a winner of many national and international awards. Priyanka is currenlty riding high on the success of Fashion and Dostana. The actress will soon be seen in Vishal Bharadwaj’s Kaminay opposite Shahid Kapur. SRK ignored Big B’s birthday wish After being ignored by Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has now been left wondering by an unresponsive Bollywood’s King Shah Rukh Khan who is yet to reply to a SMS that Big B had sent on his birthday over a week ago. “Nov 2 was Shah Rukh’s birthday and I may have been the very early wishers to him, but he still has not acknowledged. I think his Mobile must have crashed with the number of wishes he had continued to receive throughout the day,” included Amitabh Bachchan on his blog. The incident is similar to an earlier snub received by the Big B, at the hands of the Indian cricket Captain M S Dhoni, who had ignored Amitabh Bachchan’s congratulatory message when he was awarded the Padma Shri Award. “His mobile must have crashed with the number of wishes he had continued to receive throughout the day. Maybe I should send him a reminder. Most unlike him. I wished Gauri and him for their anniversary a few days back and they responded. But why not now?,” wrote the Bollywood actor. The Bollywood actors have shared silver screen space in films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Bhootnath, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Mohabbatein. |
