Sherman, who promises that the demonstration/workshop will be a novel experience for both food and music lovers, says that he plans to create a new culinary culture with his style of musically orientated easy cooking. He was a member of School Western Band. In 1989 he formed his own Band named ‘Zero 5’ and he was a singer as well as Drummer of the Band. Later ,Sherman joined the Galaxies in 1993 as a singer of English songs. A self proclaimed rap artiste, Sherman, released his first music CD ‘Man Hondai’ with 16 original songs in 2001. He has performed his talents by participating about 10 overseas journeys for musical events. Parallel with his music, he is a highlighted character of the Culinary field and successfully completed Intermediate, Advanced Level and the Management Diploma in Professional Cookery at Ceylon Hotel School and School of Tourism – Ceylon Tourist Board as well as he is a member of the Chefs Guild of Lanka and Licentiate member of Ceylon Hotel School Graduate Association. He was the winner of a Bronze Medal for a four course set menu presentation at the Culinary Art Exhibition in 1995 conducted by Chef’s Guild of Sri Lanka. Presently he performed as Freelance Food Stylist and Food Designer, conducting Food Demonstration in various activities and also works as a consumer Brand Promoter, Culinary Programme Presenter, Creative Director Host and coordinator of the programme “Fun with Don” on Sri TV as well as Director, Partner & consultant chef of the Restaurant Kanora in Pitakotte, Colombo.
