Piyumi Boteju is a popular actress in Sri Lanka and she is in the field for 10 years.  She joined Lakhanda as a presenter after she was crowned as
“Lakhanda Awurudu Kumari”.  
Todate, Piyumi has performed in about 30 teledramas and 4 stage dramas. An
important landmark of her career was winning the “Kusalatha Sammana” at The
State Award Ceremony in 2007, by acting in the “Man Diyawela”teledrama.

A new teledrama named “Kappitto” directed by Giriraj Kaushalya is to be
released very soon on Derana TV.   She has proved her talents by participating in about 5 overseas tours.  
Piyumi has three elder brothers and she is the only girl in her family.  Her husband is Chamal Mannage working as a Computer Programmer.
