Aishwarya-Abhishek are soccer crazy!
Which team are they rooting for?
They have been extremely busy promoting their latest film Raavan together since the last few days. But Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have been taking some time out to check out the points-table in the ongoing FIFA world cup in South Africa. According to Ash, she and her hubby are football crazy. There was also rumour that the couple plans to fly to South Africa to catch a game in the semi-finals or the crucial final. “Abhishek and I are both soccer fans and we root for Brazil. But as far as going for the world cup is concerned, I don’t think we would be able to make it. Things are just too busy,” Ash is quoted as saying by a news daily. Ash has several more films coming up, including Action Replayy, Guzaarish and Endhiran. Meanwhile, Raavan has opened to a mixed response from critics. Some are calling it Mani Ratnam’s worst film ever.
Amitabh Bachchan unhappy with ‘Raavan’ editing
But Santosh Sivan and Vikram disagree. Amitabh Bachchan has kicked up a little storm in the Raavan camp by expressing his displeasure about the way the newly released movie has been edited. According to Big B, the poor editing affected his son Abhishek Bachchan’s performance. “Lot of merited film edited out, causing inconsistent performance and narrative. Abhishek's erratic behavior was due to symbolic 10 heads visually appearing and each giving him different attitudes to adopt for a situation, he would then finally shake them off and decide. “.. It's sad, in the edit you only see the after effect of that thinking process, hence inconsistent. In the edit all the visual heads got cut and you see a confused Beera expression and wonder why?(sic),” tweeted Bachchan. However, the film’s cinematographer Santosh Sivan has come to Mani Ratnam’s defence. “I personally think everyone has a right to their own opinion. At the end of the day, it's the director's call. It's a different view point he has taken on 'Raavanan' which is a huge hit in the South,” said Sivan. Vikram, who acts in both Hindi and Tamil versions, said that audience will judge whether the movie is good or not.

Katrina Kaif itching for mushy love on screen
Gimme soppy romance! With Raajneeti emerging as a money-spinner at box office, one would expect Katrina Kaif to take on more similar non-glam roles that have depth and seriousness. But the pretty lady is in no mood to get typecast. Even as she shoots for director Zoya Akhtar’s film Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara in Spain, the actress says she’s itching to do a mushy romantic movie like the ones Yash Chopra is known to make. “In fact, right now, I would love to have a one boy-one girl Yashji type of love story in hand or, say, play a loud, boisterous girl - something on the lines of Hemaji's role in Seeta Aur Geeta,” Katrina is quoted as saying by a news agency. The 25-year-old beauty, who will also replace Priyanka Chopra as the leading lady of Dostana sequel, says she doesn’t want to limit herself to a particular kind of roles. “There are a lot of sides to me that are yet to be tapped,” she said. We believe you, Katrina.
