Katrina Kaif announces 56th Idea Filmfare Awards -

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif on Tuesday announced the opening of 56th Idea Filmfare Awards. The awards will felicitate the best talents and best films of the year 2010. At Shangri-La Hotel in New Delhi, Katrina lit the lamp and announced the upcoming awards open.  Looking lovely in a short beige dress, Katrina said: “Filmfare is a great magazine and its awards' night is most coveted and magical.”  She added that the competition this year is going to be very tough. “If I were to be on the jury of Filmfare Awards 2010, I'd say it's a seriously tough year with films like 'Dabangg', 'My Name is Khan', 'Raajneeti', 'Guzaarish', 'Golmaal 3' and others in the fray,” Katrina said.  The 56th Idea Filmfare Awards will be held early in 2011.


Shahrukh’s wife Gauri bonds with Salman Khan?

The media persons were a bit surprised to see Shahrukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan at the birthday bash of Sohail Khan, where big brother Salman Khan was a dominating presence.  SRK and Salman may not be on talking terms, but their so-called cold war doesn’t spill over to their near and dear ones. Yet, it came as a surprise to see Gauri walking in for a bash hosted by the family of Salman Khan recently.  Our source says: “Gauri and Malaika Arora (Arbaaz’s wife) are very good friends and Gauri was invited by Malaika.”  From what we hear, Salman and Gauri met each other cordially and there was no awkwardness in either during the entire course of the bash. Well, do we see Gauri playing the peacenik between the two Khans?


Salman Khan 'weds' Asin -

Salman Khan ‘married’ actress Asin earlier this week in a hush-hush ceremony in which her parents were not invited, according to the media down south.  As the evidence, a photograph of Salman dressed as a dulha and Asin as his new bride was splashed in the press reports. Quite obviously, a lot of people believed it and Asin was flooded with congratulatory calls and messages.  But the actress can’t stop laughing because it was a shoot for her film Ready with Salman Khan. In the scene, Asin marries Salman against her parent’s wishes. Apparently, someone thought she was getting married for real and published the story which was picked up by others in the media down south. In fact, the news of Asin’s marriage even reached her native place Kerala.
The ‘marriage’ has now become the source of constant jokes on the sets of Ready, with Salman teasing Asin and boasting to everyone that he’s finally married.
