Aamir Khan-Shahrukh Khan clash averted!
Aamir Khan’s thriller not to release with Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Don 2’
You all know that Aamir Khan has started shooting for a thriller with Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee. But what you don’t know is that the movie was supposed to release around the same time as Shahrukh Khan’s much-hyped Don 2. Well, the clash has thankfully been averted now.
Aamir Khan’s untitled film, which is a thriller and stars two wonderful Bollywood actresses Kareena and Rani Mukherjee, might have given competition to Shahrukh Khan’s Don 2.
Whenever there is a box office clash between two biggies, it’s obvious that the revenue gets divided, and that’s why the producers don’t want to release their mega-budget, much-publicized films with other movies. No matter who’s the star! And as Reema Kagti’s film is a low-budget one, the makers want to play safe. In fact, both the films are coming from the same production house -- Farhan Akhtar-Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment. So why would they take the risk?
But Aamir might love to do that, so he is planning to release his own film Delhi Belly with Don 2. Delhi Belly is a small-budget film and is produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The movie got stuck in production stages as the producer Aamir became busy with wifey’s Dhobi Ghat. The film is directed by Abhinay Deo and has Imran Khan and Shenaz Treasurywala in lead roles.
Aamir has a hundred percent hit record with his production films (save for ‘Dhobi Ghat’), so there is no reason why he wouldn’t like to take the risk. Aamir Khan’s Ghajini and Shahrukh Khan’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi released around the same time in December 2008. Both the films were hits, but Aamir scored better. Will that be the case this time around too?
Aishwarya Rai comes on Twitter!
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has so far doggedly kept away from social networking. But on her fourth wedding anniversary on Wednesday, hubby Abhishek Bachchan persuaded her to come on Twitter.
However, Aishwarya did not open her own page on Twitter but rather chatted with the fans through Abhishek’s handle.
“Thank you all for the wonderful anniversary wishes. Will get Aishwarya to chat with you'll this evening. Much love again... Ok guys, here she is..... Shoot away” Abhishek wrote on Twitter.
“Hello everyone, :) :) and thank you all so much for all ur love and wishes "4" us on our special day. Truly overwhelmed. Love Aishwarya,” Ash wrote in her first Tweet.
Instantly, Ash was showered with congratulatory messages from friends and fans. From then on, Ash was busy ‘thanking’ the fans.
We wish for the day when Ash would have her own Twitter handle.
Salman Khan Ready to shoot without Bodyguard
Salman takes to the streets for 'Bodyguard' shoot
But the star took the risk and successfully shot a crucial scene for his upcoming film Bodyguard in the crowded streets of Colaba and Flora Fountain area that too at the time when the traffic was at its peak.
From what we hear, Salman disguised himself in the look of his character (a bodyguard) and walked the crowded streets while the cameras were rolling. To keep the shoot discreet, the unit stayed away and the cameras were placed on the top of surrounding buildings.
Thankfully none in the crowd was able to recognize Salman and the shot was filmed successfully.
Earlier, Aamir Khan had also shot a scene for Dhobi Ghat amidst a throng of thousands of people at Mohammad Ali street in Mumbai. And by shooting on the bustling lanes of Colaba, Salman too has shown that he needs no bodyguard when it comes to milling around with the crowd.
