Rani Mukherjee was set to make her first appearance at the Cannes Film Festival in France. However, her trip has been cancelled due to personal reasons. Reports say Rani’s father isn’t doing well and the actress is in no mood to leave him and fly off to Cannes. She was supposed to fly with fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. A lot of people were anticipating Rani to walk the red carpet in a traditional Indian dress, presumably a sari by Sabyasachi himself. On the festival’s opening day, both Aishwarya Rai and Minissha Lamba walked in western outfits. we hear that Rani has informed the officials about her inability to attend the event. The 42-year-old actor plays a cop in a village in Maharashtra. To acquire the brawny physique Ajay hit the gym with vengeance and trained rigorously for three months under the fitness expert Prashant Sawant. ‘Singham’ has Ajay Devgan pairing up with Kajal Aggarwal. The film is set to release on July 22, this year. • Meeting with Saif was casual, not romantic: Priyanka Chopra Priyanka Chopra isn’t pleased at the way a section of the media is linking her up with Saif Ali Khan after she visited the sets of his upcoming film Agent Vinod. The actress is good friends with both Saif and his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor. But she hadn’t anticipated that an unplanned visit to the sets of Saif’s film would set the rumour mills in motion. “It was a casual meeting, nothing else. Now please don't link me up with him (Saif Ali Khan) at least,” Chopra told reporters during an event to promote the jewellery line Asmi. When quizzed if Kareena has any problems with her visit, Priyanka retorted, “No one has any problem with it.” It’s no secret that Priyanka was till recently seeing Kareena’s ex boyfriend Shahid Kapoor.
