When SRK stopped short of giving Aamir tit for tat

Shahrukh Khan has made it clear that he doesn’t like some of the jokes Aamir Khan has cracked on him publicly. And one of those was Aamir’s infamous dog banter.
They often indulge in verbal sparring. Though most of it is in good humour, sometimes the jibes are stretched too far. One of such jokes was when Aamir blogged about having a dog named Shahrukh.
SRK did not reciprocate to Aamir’s potshot at that time, because he was held back by his wife.

Speaking to a website, SRK reveals that he had a fitting reply for Aamir’s dig. The reply was that he (SRK) wanted to name his dog Aamir, but the canine vehemently refused. SRK thought the joke was funny but was stopped by his wife Gauri Khan who felt that the response would be misconstrued by media and fans.
So SRK held back.
But the superstar made it known at a recent event that he would speak to Aamir about certain things (obviously the dog dig) that he did not like.

Aa Dekhen Zara – Movie Preview and Slideshow

‘Aa Dekhen Zara’ movie stars one-film-old Neil Nitin Mukesh with Bipasha Basu. Neil plays a photographer while Bipasha plays a DJ. Ray, a struggling photographer, has nothing going for him until he inherits a very 'special' camera from his grandfather which changes his life in a way that he could not have imagined in his wildest dreams.
The 'power' of the camera changes Ray's destiny overnight. His life becomes one big roller-coaster ride that takes him from rags to riches and also helps him to meet the love of his life, Simi.

Simi is an attractive, sexy DJ. An independent woman, she has a mind of her own.
Everything is hunky dory between Ray and Simi and the duo seem headed for a 'happily ever after' life.
As they say, with great power comes great responsibility and in Ray's case, also great danger. He must now face up to the dark side of reality and win not only against the evil forces but also against fate.
Can Ray change his date with fate? Aa Dekhen Zara.
The movie has music by Pritam and Gourav Dasgupta while action is by Sham Kaushal. The movie also features a song sung by Neil and Bipasha..
Directed by Jehangir Surti , ‘Aa Dekhen Zara’ is produced by Viki Rajani. The film is made under the banner of Eros International.
The movie is set for release on March 27.

Shahrukh Khan to return as Don

The sequel to Farhan Akhtar’s Don is very much on with Shahrukh Khan in the role of the elusive don again.
For a long time Farhan and his partner Ritesh Sidhwani have been dilly-dallying with the idea of making a sequel to their 2006 movie which, though not a superhit, had a good run at the box office.
A part of the producer duo’s ambivalence was due to the fact that Amitabh Bachchan , the original don, was set to act in the sequel of Don (1978) to be produced by the sons of the producer of the 70s movie. But since that project doesn’t seem to be happening, Farhan and Ritesh’s company Excel Entertainment has decided to go ahead with the sequel to their film.
Unlike the 1978 original, in Farhan’s movie it is Vijay who dies but the don remains alive and even slips through the fingers of the cops at the end. In the sequel, the story will be carried forward with the same characters.
Excel Entertainment will reportedly sign SRK, Priyanka Chopra , Arjun Rampal and Boman Irani for the sequel. It’s still unclear whether Isha Koppikar , the don’s moll, will act in ‘Don 2’.

Aishwarya lays condition for accepting French award

Aishwarya Rai turned down the second highest civilian honour by French government because her father was not well enough to attend the ceremony.
Last month, when Ash won the Padmashri honour, she was also announced as the recipient of this year’s ‘Officer Dan Ordre Des Arts Et Des Lettres’ (officer of the order of arts and letters) honour by French govt. Last year, Shahrukh Khan was bestowed with the same title. This year, Ash is the chosen one.
But she refused to accept the award at the time chosen by French authorities because her father was unwell.
“There was no way I was going to go into it without my father’s presence,” Ash is quoted as saying in a media report.
Ash says she wants her entire family, from her parents to her hubby and in-laws to be by her side when she receives the French honour.
Other recipients of this award include Hollywood big-wigs like Meryl Streep and Robert Redford. Ash’s father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan has received the highest French civilian honour the ‘Legion d’honour’.
There is a probability that Ash would receive the award soon as her father has been recuperating well.
